Benefits
Humanizing numbers removes the fear factor of math. Giving numbers personalities and feelings helps children to relate to and understand them on a deeper level.

-
Emotional Connection: By giving numbers human characteristics or stories, children can form emotional connections with them, making future learning more enjoyable and memorable.
-
Easier Understanding: When numbers are given characteristics or roles in a story, they become more than abstract concepts.
-
Engagement: Children are more likely to be engaged with stories that have characters they can relate to. If numbers are personified, they become more interesting and relatable.

Number 7

Nino Stick was feeling a bit odd. He had eaten the number 7 and now he felt like he was going to burst!
But he had to hold it in – he just had to. Nino Stick raced around his house, trying to find a place to hide. But no matter where he looked, there was nowhere to go.
Finally, Nino Stick gave up and let out a giant burp. And wouldn't you know it? Out came the number 7!
“Thank you,” said the number 7. “It was very dark and cramped in your tummy.”
“You’re welcome,” said Nino Stick. He always said you’re welcome when anyone said thank you. He also promised the number 7 he wouldn’t eat numbers ever again.
